My sweetie and I arrived at Georgie's about 6 PM on a Saturday.  There was a 10 minute wait that landed us in the lounge which ended up being a good thing.  The atmosphere in the lounge is elegant with dim light and a panoramic ocean view.  The main seating area is a bit more bright and busy so I suggest sitting in the lounge.  The bar tender Greg was jovial and served us right away.  The waitstaff is friendly, fast and provided excellent service.  There was also a sense of "family" among the waitstaff at Georgie's it was apparent they look out for each other and worked well as a team.

Our servers Willy and David Garcia knew the menu well and were receptive to adaptations to our entrees that we requested.  For example I ordered the Seafood Sampler that is sauteed in Butter, Lemon and White Wine but requested it with no white fish.  Willy immediately offered  that I may choose more of something (which is rare for restaurants to do) else in its place which I requested more shrimp (at no extra charge). Georgie's is a great "his and hers" restaurant in that we had extensive options of seafood or high end steaks and burgers which is perfect when my man doesn't really care for seafood.  My guy ordered a Top Sirloin Steak with Baked potato with the works and me the Seafood Sampler.  Price is on the high end but not atrocious for a seafood restaurant.  Our meals averaged $23-25 dollars each plus $9 for two Coors (not mine :).

Your meal at Georgie's will begin with fresh baked sourdough bread and butter which my guy loved but me being gluten-free (and not happy about it) at the moment avoided the bread.  However Georgie's is very gluten-free friendly with several menu options that are naturally gluten-free such as my Seafood Sampler.  And the wait staff and chefs are happy to accommodate special diet requests just make sure to be clear when ordering regarding your special diet needs. In fact if you go to their website under the menu link they provide a "gluten-free" menu at: http://georgiesbeachsidegrill.com/menus/  I was excited to see that they offer a gluten-free chocolate cake as well as gluten-free toast options with breakfast.  Although I tried neither I am excited to go back and try dessert and breakfast at Georgie's!

 I am going to steal my guy's feedback about his steak that it was "cooked perfectly from one end to the other; cooked exactly to order med/well-done; and was a tender well seasoned piece of meat. " Also important to note the baked potato comes with butter and sour cream but for a $1 you can upgrade to the works which includes fresh chives, bacon, cheddar cheese as well as the sour cream and butter.  Well worth the dollar!  My Seafood Sampler was also done exactly right.  The simple saute sauce allowed the vibrant seafood flavors to come across individually and the seafood was cooked to perfection with a lovely texture without being overdone and rubbery.
