Amazing food, elegant classy atmosphere, friendly service and a perfect "date"destination!
Robert's Crossing is in the middle of nowhere on South River Road which adds to its mystique and unique flair. Robert's Crossing was built in 1916 as a community store. It was purchased in 2009 by the Glodt family. It is only open for dinner from 4 pm on Tuesday to Sunday or can be booked for special events.

Robert's Crossing's menu is quite vast including seafood, steaks and fine American local gourmet cuisine. There is something for everyone! It is on the higher end cost wise and if you go during peak hours expect to wait at least 30 minutes for your main entrees to arrive. However the service is fast and friendly as far as getting seated and having fresh bread, butter and salads arriving promptly. So I suggest you enjoy your time; soak in the elegant atmosphere; turn off your phones and be present with the person sitting across from you and fully experience all Robert's Crossing has to offer!

The food was excellent and the portions generous. The prices are on the higher end. Expect to pay at least $30 a person for your meal and more if you get appetizers, drinks or desserts. We both ordered the sirloin steak and while quite content with our steaks we were disappointed that we were charged and extra $4 per side salad as they were offered by the waitress as a potential side without mention of the extra charge. Other than that the mashed potatoes were divine and were so flavorful they didn't need gravy. The steaks extremely tender and cooked perfectly to my request of medium rare. The veggies could have used some dressing up they were plain carrots and broccoli and were slightly under-cooked without any seasoning. A restaurant of this quality should be serving asparagus or fancy sauteed greens for the price they charge or at least step up their seasonal veggies with a unique flavoring or with a flare of just their own. Before the meal you are served with fresh bread and butter and between that and your meal you will leave satisfied.
If you would like dessert expect to pay another $8 and while we didn't try dessert their options looked amazing which included house made Tiramisu.
Sirloin Steak with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies** It was hard to capture clear photos due to the very dim lighting.

I highly recommend Robert's Crossing for your next date destination...especially if you are still trying to woo them! It's a great place to wine and dine your special someone!!
Enjoy!
