Carrot/Orange Dreamsicle Smoothie

 This delicious smoothie is packed with Vit. C (OJ), potassium (banana), Vt. K, C, B6, B, B3 and A (carrot juice), protein and healthy fat (cashews). 
I created this smoothie as a healthy alternative to a sugar filled smoothies/shakes for children.  This is one they will beg to have again!  Although originally created for children it has quickly become one of my favorites.  Enjoy!



Directions:

*I recommend using a Vita Mix or similar high power blender
Makes one 16 oz smoothie
Add to blender:
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup raw cashews (unsalted)
1/2 tsp pure vanilla
1/3 cup OJ
2/3 cup carrot juice
Blend on high.  Make sure nuts are pureed.  Add more carrot juice as needed for desired consistency.
